About Accounting & Information Systems

Accounting, as the language of business, plays imperative role in the modern business environment by supplying information required for many key decisions made by the top management team. Even in the digitalized environment and in the face of Fourth Industrial Revolution, the role of relevant, reliable, and real time financial information has increased many folds. Established in 2005, the Accounting & Information Systems Discipline of Stamford University Bangladesh has been working to produce accounting graduates with capability to produce and supply information required by top management team.
Currently, the Discipline offers major in both the undergraduate and graduate study programs. A team of 8 highly qualified and dedicated faculty members having PhD degrees and professional certifications are working within the Discipline to furnish students with up to date knowledge and skills required to meet the information needs of top management team and other stakeholders in the modern business environment. Moreover, the Discipline maintains a persistent relationship with the two professional accounting bodies of the country to facilitate the graduates of the Discipline trouble-free admission and other waiver facilities offered by those professional institutions. Additionally, the Discipline arranges various training programs on accounting software like Tally (ERP), arranges workshop and seminars on emerging and significant issues to enable graduates of the Discipline to compete in the competitive job markets.

The options to choose from when it comes to higher education in Bangladesh may seem many but few are on par in quality and history with Stamford.
